Opening of Bodhichitta-Boy’s Hostel and Unveiling of Buddha Statue at Girl’s Hostel (Gridhakuta)

Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche a well-known Tibetan Reincarnated Lama teacher came to Nagaloka for the opening ceremony of the Boys Hostel named Bodhichitta on the 5th of February. The hostel was donated by Mr. Willy Hsin-Chih Yang and Mrs. Nancy Huei-Chu Hsieh Yang from China. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche gave a talk in which he emphasised the importance of practicing dhamma specially youths. Lokamitra who presided over the ceremony explained the meaning of Bodhichitta and importance of the Training and impact on the Young Buddhist in India.  

Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche also donated a Buddha Statue in Bhumisparsa Mudra or earth touching Gesture for the Meditation Hall in Girl’s Hostel (Grudhrakuta). The program started with small Puja followed the unveiling of the Buddha statue at the auspicious hands of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. Later on, Lokamitra explained the meaning of  the Bhumisparsa Mudra in which the Buddha during his time at Bodhgaya before gaining Enlightenment when faced by the Mara. Next day, Nagaloka Alumni met with Rimpoche and shared their live stories and how they came in contact with Buddhism through Nagaloka.
