Independence Day Celebration at Nagarjuna Training Institute

Nagarjuna Training Institute celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with a programme bringing together students, faculty members, administrators, and distinguished guests to commemorate the nation’s independence and reflect on the values of democracy, equality, and responsible citizenship.

The programme began with a floral tribute to the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Following the tribute, a formal parade led by Jeetu and Divya proceeded from the statue to the flag-hoisting venue.

The programme was attended by distinguished guests, including Mrs. Suchitra, Principal of Nagarjuna Institute College of B.A., who was the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Bhanu Pratap, Academic Director of Nagarjuna Training Institute, Mr. Sangharsh, Administrator of Nagaloka, and Dhammachari Suvirya.

Flag Hoisting and Keynote Address

The Chief Guest, Mrs. Suchitra, hoisted the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

In her keynote address, Mrs. Suchitra spoke about the historical significance of Independence Day and paid tribute to the sacrifices made during India’s freedom struggle. She also highlighted the contribution of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and the values of humanity and equality reflected in the Preamble of the Constitution of India.

Addressing the students, she emphasized the importance of education, active participation, organization, and social responsibility. Referring to Dr. Ambedkar’s call to “Educate, Agitate, and Organize,” she encouraged young people to contribute positively to society and play a constructive role in the development and progress of the nation.

 

Student Participation and Cultural Programme

The formal ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Varsha, who expressed gratitude to the guests, organizers, students, and all participants for their contribution to the successful programme.

The celebration was followed by a cultural programme in which students showcased their talents. The performances provided an opportunity for students to express their creativity and participate actively in the day’s celebrations.

The programme concluded with a commemorative group photograph, marking a meaningful celebration of India’s Independence Day at Nagarjuna Training Institute.

The celebration reflected NTI’s commitment to encouraging students to understand India’s constitutional values, develop a sense of social responsibility, and participate constructively in the nation’s educational, social, and cultural development.
