Work Details:

Kandhamal District is very much famous for its tribal people and its richness of nature and cultural heritage. The Kandhamal is bestowed with the beauty of nature. It has wildlife, scenic beauty, a healthy climate, and serpentine ghat roads and hills.

In the remote mountainous wilderness of the Eastern Ghats region of South, Orissa lives a fascinating tribe called Kandha who is a primitive section of the Kandha-numerically the most influential tribe of Odisha but their life is so difficult they depend on forest products. And living below the poverty line, along with them in the hill’s Scheduled Caste also living in that area. Due to the pandemic, their life became so difficult, one of our friends belong to that reason name called Tamila Paraseth and his brother Sarat Paraseth, both survey the area and find out the most needed beneficiaries mostly the widow, old man and woman, Daily wagers and very poor family. After sanctioning our relief appeal by the Nagaloka relief work team we ordered for Ration kits to the shopkeeper he packed and send us the ration kits on 12th October 2021 and we the Team distributed them to those on 13th and 14th October in 10 villages in Kandhamal District and 2 villages in Kalahandi District. We took a tractor for rent and went to the different villages to distribute the ration kits.

Remark:

After getting the ration kits, beneficiaries express gratitude toward donors and Nagaloka. all seem very happy and want to know about the two photos on Banner (Babasaheb and Buddha) As they have never seen before. Most People are from tribal backgrounds so they are very simple and honest so we do not get any difficulty distributing the ration kits. We are unable to reach a couple of villages as they live on top of the hills and the communication is not so easy, we The team has plans to get them in the next phase of relief work as they are very much needed people.
