Dear Scholars/Researchers/Activists,
The conference invites Scholars, Academics, Philosophers, Activists and Buddhist practitioners attend “NAGALOKA NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2022” In Collaboration with Department of Pali-Prakrit and Buddhist Studies Centre, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.
This conference is an initial attempt to bring together scholars and thought leaders to discuss threadbare the basic concepts in Buddhism within three domains – Philosophy, Theory and Practice. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar studied Buddhism throughout his life. He mastered Pali language to read the classical canonical texts. His unique understanding of Buddhism emerged from his vast interests in various domains of knowledge, his continuous engagement with the world, and seeking solutions to the problems facing India and world.
Understanding his presentation of Buddhism is essential for the humanity today. As scholars are now researching in various areas of Ambedkar studies, we seek to understand his presentation of key and foundational ideas in Buddhism and how they are developed by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar to face the world of increasing complexities.
The title of the conference, “Perspectives in Fundamentals of Buddhism and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar“, is a theme that we will be returning to again and again over the years. It lays the basic framework in which presentations and discussions will be facilitated.
As part of the Dhammakranti celebration, the conference will collectivise and revisit our 66 years of re-embracing The Buddha Dhamma and Sangha in the land of its birth and share our learnings and practice among the participants.
The conference also invites Scholars, Academics, Philosophers, Activists and Buddhist practitioners to submit full papers latest by 3rd Oct 2022.
